Glossop RUFC Under 11 team played in the Sale Sharks organised Land Rover Cup at the weekend. This was a waterfall tournament where the values of Rugby, TREDS (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment Discipline and Sportsmanship) were foremost. After a great day of Rugby, all teams and Sharks staff for the under 11s were asked to nominate two teams that they felt demonstrated the TREDS values well. Glossop U11 won that vote convincingly.
As a prize, the team will be off to Twickenham in June to watch the Premiership final courtesy of Land Rover and Premiership Rugby. This is an amazing prize, and the squad should be rightly proud of their acheivement.
Congratulations to the team, the coaching team and also a word for the parents that bring the players to training and matches each week. This is a true team win.
